Sunday Night Update

Seems that the summer has been a pretty good one so far. Sunday nights  are generally a good time to check in with the Facebook Friends to see what’s up. We are connected with the Indiana and Kentucky family and social media makes it easy share in what is going on with the Hoosier Cousins. Plus, I can “spy” a little on my eldest son.

Last week, we had births, first birthdays, an amazing win by a bodybuilding girlfriend and the path of inspiration she brings with her to the family biz BodyHeat, plus great blues and BBQ with The Andy Makely Band at Maddy’s in Decatur, GA.

This week included feedback on a trip to the Blue Ridge’s Swan Drive In, a check in by Squirrel’s Nest mountain retreat, several high school reunions, swimming parties, a surprise visit to local Waverunners’ swim meet and impromptu family picnics-just because.

With all of the talk of our economy, it would seem that many friends are staying close to home this summer. Being “home” means more time with family and great friends. My favorite posting the past two weeks has been Flip Flops and Friends on Friday Night. Lots of friends have developed Friday Night Summer Rituals, but next to my neighborhood’s long-standing Waterton Whine Down, Flip Flops and Friends has to be one of the most spontaneous and laughter-filled events in Grayson, GA! Great pics girls!

My new Sunday Night ritual is going to include a check-in with my Friends and Family to find out what went on during the weekend. Summertime weekends just seem to hold so many surprises and last-minute fun. Following my “peeps” should prove to give me plenty to write about. Especially this coming holiday weekend. Let the fireworks begin! See you next Sunday.
