What to do with this “extra” day? If you take the advice of some of the popular leaping idioms, then you might find some new faith in just about anything. Perhaps the divine, yourself or a loved one deserves a leap of faith on your part. Maybe just a friendly game of leapfrog with your kids is in order to celebrate the day. If someone tells you to take a flying leap, it might be that they could use a leap of faith. Perhaps a quantum leap might be a good topic for discussion among the Big Bang Theory characters…I think Sheldon would certainly have some random set of facts surrounding the quantum leap and would also enjoy telling the story of why we need to “reset” our calendars every four years. Just don’t sit in his spot.
One popular “leapdiom” is Look Before You Leap. While assessing a decision before you decide is always good advice…a smart friend of mine once said to me, “If you feel froggy…jump.” Or, as today would suggest…LEAP!
